Rex had his first shot today. He has to have the Hep B vaccine to go to daycare, (apparently they think he may be sexually active or share needles while he is there...that's the only way to get Hep B!) so they gave him a poke in the leg. Rex took it like a champ! He weighs 11 pound 4 ounces (75th percentile), and is 23 and 7/8 inches long (that's the 90th percentile)! We think he may be built like his Uncle Ted. The bad news is poor little Rex seems to have some acid reflux, so we've got the medicine that should make him feel better, and help us all sleep a little more. We hope it works very quickly!

One month old
Where did the days go? Just yesterday Laura was calling Steve home from the golf course to tell him her contractions had started, and as of tomorrow Rex will no longer be considered a newborn; he upgrades to infant status! The month was certainly full of learning experiences. Rex is learning more than we can know, with his eyes wide open and hands grabbing onto everything. Mommy learned the skill of putting the new diaper on a baby boy very quickly, and Daddy learned not to laugh at Mommy when she isn't fast enough with the new diaper. Enjoy the pictures of Rexton's first month in our lives.
