Unlce Ted and Jill come to visit!

More time with great grandma!
Uncle Steve and Aunt Cathy loving Baby Rex
See, Uncle Ted can hold a baby with one hand
Jill impressing the patrons at the mall

Uncle Ted and Jill made the trip from Indianapolis to visit with Rex. Uncle Ted managed to hold Rex on numerous occasions without dropping him! Incredible. He also commented on Laura's advancing parenting skills including eating over Rex's head without dropping any food on him (see video). And Jill had her turn in Fresno's Fashion Fair Mall where everyone admired how she carried the baby. We all made the trip down to LA to visit with Great Grandma, Great Uncle Steve, and Great Aunt Cathy. It was a great week!

Mommy's Little Man
Visiting Mommy's work
First successful bottle

It is hard to believe that two months have gone by so quickly...although some days feel much longer than others! At Rex's two month check-up, he weighed 12lbs. 11oz. (70%) and was 24.5 inches long (95%). Two shots and one oral vaccine later, we were out the door of the doctor's office.
Enjoy pictures of Rex in Month Two.

A Weekend with Great Grandma

Entertaining Great Grandma

Rex took his first overnight trip to L.A. to visit with Great Grandma Ruth. He slept the whole car ride down for mommy, and was a smiley, happy baby for his Great Grandma to play with when we got there. Rex spent Sunday afternoon at a baby shower visiting with his L.A. family (and what a family it is!) We love Great Grandma!!!

First (and only?) Emergency Room Visit

The tiniest hospital gown ever!

That sign says "Emergency"

Our poor little man had been fighting a cold and some sort of stomach bug since Monday. Well, on Thursday night he started vomiting repeatedly, so after a quick call to the on-call pediatrician, we were off to the ER to check his stomach valves. Turns out he was a tad dehydrated and overly congested. They used the coolest suction machine to clear out his nasal passages...this thing left him drier than a Fresno summer!...and gave him Pedialyte to solve the dehydration issues. So after a few short hours we all headed home, relieved and exhausted, but healthy (well, no more vomiting!) Valley Children's is a great hospital, but we never want to go back.

Superbowl Sunday

With Mason and Brooklyn...Future babysitters?

Rex attended his first Superbowl party. The best part? He slept through almost the entire game so Mommy and Daddy got to actually watch and socialize a bit. He had hoped to win the scoring pool but no such luck. Maybe next year. He woke up just in time for a picture with some new friends.

Meeting the cousins in San Fran

With Ripley and Chloe

GIRLS ARE ICKYYY!!!!!!

Meeting Chloe

On Saturday, Rex got to meet his cousins Chloe and Ripley, as well as Uncle Don and Aunt Courtney, for the very first time. He enjoyed a lovely walk around Twin Peaks and even got to eat at Tower Burger. Unfortunately, the other Hart family will be moving to Seattle very soon so we won't get to see them as often as we had hoped.
Here is video of Rex meeting his cousin Chloe.

Almost 6 weeks

Silly, mommy. You thought life would be settled by now and that sleep would be making a come back. Ha ha! Oh well, our days are filled with eating and changing diapers and naps, and we wouldn't change it for the world. Videos from this past week are posted. Enjoy seeing Rex move and explore (as best he can).
